archipelago is looking for an experienced graphic designer (m/f/x) who is passionate about architecture

At archipelago, design, a journalistic approach and community management form the three pillars of our communications team. Do you want to work with our community managers, designers and business development teams? You will be producing quality artwork which creates a powerful visual and experiential impact. Developing visual communication solutions for print or digital is second nature to you. You dream of sharing your creativity through the development of our brand concepts, architectural projects, offers and tenders. In brief, your job will be to contribute to the development of the archipelago brand and projects through graphic design. You will also play an active role in pitching and tender processes in a dynamic, innovative and design/user-oriented environment.

Profile

  • graphic designer
  • graphic design skills and expertise
  • communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • similar experience in an architecture or design firm highly desirable
  • originality, creativity, attention to detail and artistic sensibility
  • extensive knowledge of the Adobe Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; MS Office; 3D visualisation – Revit, Sketchup and potentially video – After effects
  • photography skills are a plus

  • co-creation comes naturally to you and you are able to work autonomously
  • trilingualism (nl/fr/en) is a plus

Function

As a member of the communications team, your role will revolve around three main areas:

 

archistyle – visual style guide:

  • you will develop and maintain the “archistyle” – the visual style guide for the brand
  • you will develop a strategy for both communication and visual identity
  • you will contribute to improving quality and offer suggestions for internal training for using tools

graphic design resources:

  • you will create, organise and maintain design templates, documents and libraries of qualitative and business resources to be used in marketing (computer graphics, social network posts, leaflets, presentation images, illustrations, page layouts, videos, etc.)
  • you will oversee the implementation of graphic design projects and define their budget implications
  • you will liaise with printers and manufacturers
  • you will contribute to the planning and developing of new communications campaigns

layout / materials for competitive tenders:

  • you will develop new concepts for design and layout depending on context (event, presentation, etc.), for both print and digital outlets
  • you will implement a creative and client-oriented approach in the presentation of offers, brochures, etc.
  • you will work within an integrated team of (project leader-) architects, copywriters
