archipelago research team selected for ‘Cost study TOTEM’

archipelago architects’ research team has been selected for research assignment “Cost study TOTEM”, together with KU Leuven R&D – architectural engineering.
With the recent revision of the EPB directive, the life-cycle impact of CO2 will soon also have to be mentioned. Using TOTEM, we can easily calculate this life-cycle impact, for CO2, and for a comprehensive set of 19 environmental impact indicators. The ‘Cost Study TOTEM’ will first make a cost estimate, to calculate the impact of this new measure on both study and construction costs, before it becomes an obligation for all new buildings in Flanders.
