The research & innovation team of archipelago has been invited to join the IBE-BIV (Belgian Institute of Lighting Studies) in a workgroup for research on visual and non-visual aspects of daylight.

The IBE-BIV workgroup comprises members of industry, engineering firms and scientific institutions.

The research aims for cutting-edge knowledge on daylight in buildings. Especially the non-visual aspects, where neurology and psychology meet, are of big interest to our healthcare projects. Such research topics, and notably the effects on the circadian cycle, have been within the scope of archipelago R&I for several years.

The working group also has an advisory role towards normative documents relating to daylight.
