“CERA bank opted for two buildings located in the historic centre of Leuven to install its head office: the neo-Gothic building known as Helleputte, with its multipurpose hall, and the 18th-century Hôtel d’Eynatten and its parlours. The two buildings have been completely refitted by archipelago and Robbrecht & Daem, in collaboration with Studio Roma, with respect for the key heritage features. As the third piece of the project, the new building on the corner adds a contemporary touch. All rooms, which are accessible from indoors and out from the stepped ground floor, form an ‘urban promenade’ in the building, linking the ancient and the modern. The facades made entirely of glass allow an abundance of natural light to enter the areas inside, with great benefit to the work environment. The interior finishes are characterised by a warm blend of solid and durable materials.”
