Building permit granted for Liege Exhibition Halls
After being selected as laureates for the competition in 2020, archipelago together with the architect Francisco Mangado announce the granting of the building permit for the 20.000 sqm project in Liege.
The size of the project will have an immediate impact on its surroundings and requires therefore a highly contextual approach. The large, green plaza in front of the building will mark the public character of the exhibition hall, together with an instantly recognizable roof structure. Inside, the exhibition spaces are arranged along a central axis so that they can be easily adapted to different events. Clarity in organization, flexible building management, and accessibility are the key elements of the design.
