The project ‘Centre Hospitalier de Wallonie picarde’ or CHwapi (General Hospital of Tournai) was born from the desire to bring together on a single campus all the “acute” hospital beds in the Tournai region. Phase 1, finished in 2015, included maternity and pediatric care units, clinical support services, intensive care units and logistical services. In Phase 2, almost 850 inpatient and day-care beds will be brought together on the Union site.

In the mean time, the public tender for structural works of Phase 2 has been launched. This event represents a key stage in this large-scale hospital project: the construction of a base connected to the existing building organised around patios, as well as two triangular volumes containing the wards. All information relating to this call for bids is available on the e-Tendering platform.
