Design for the new Cité Administrative of Huy unveiled at council meeting
The project is the result of a strong vision from the town of Huy, bringing together all administrative and social services on a single site. The new landmark for Huy will furthermore contribute to the revitalisation of the left bank of the river Meuse and promote the sustainability goals of the city as a unique, low-energy building that is perfectly suited to the needs of staff and citizens alike.
Located at the foot of Mont de la Buissière, the Cité Administrative aims to rebalance the two parts of the city. The volume of the building marks an urban presence at The Avenue des Fossés, that has been transformed into a new public square, terraced into the existing relief. Several paths run along both sides of the Cité, connecting to the neighbourhood’s pedestrian network. The project will furthermore include the development of a new public park, designed for and with residents, as result of recurrent participatory workshops.
The Cité Administrative is part of the Plan de Relance pour la Wallonie
