New CM Headquarters completed and open to the public

The new CM Headquarters in Hasselt were officially opened by Jos Meyers, president CM Limburg, Bart De Ruysscher, managing director CM Vlaanderen, Benjamin Vandervoort, director organisation CM, together with the team of archipelago and Cordeel.

The design by archipelago architects for the new CM HQ follows a strong vision on the new world of working. The public programme with the entrance area, the nursery, the relaxation rooms and the restaurant are designed for maximum comfort of use, recognizable for visitors and connected to the Demer park with large terraces and windows framing specific views.

A flexible and modular design offers to the different CM departments a variety of work and meeting spaces, both inside and outside. A pathway that starts at the entrance area grows like a tree through the building, and connects to different zones for specific work activities and informal meetings.

The building will easily adapt to future changes. Although the four main sections are connected through a common ground floor, they can nevertheless function independently from each other because of separate circulation cores. This offers CM the flexibly to rent or sell different parts of the building, while allowing their organisation to rapidly evolve.

The project is certified with the WELL Building Standard. This is the result of archipelago’s evidence-based design approach to create a healthy and comfortable environment for CM employees, members, volunteers and local residents.
