Opening of multifunctional care campus Borgerstein
The brand-new multifunctional care campus was officially inaugurated on 15 October, in the presence of Minister of the Interior Annelies Verlinden and Mayor of Sint-Katelijne-Waver Kristof Sels.
The new care campus “Borgerwijk” brings to life the Borgerstein association’s vision on dedicated care for the elderly and support for people with disabilities. The project is situated at the site of a former seminary which currently houses the association’s care center. The new buildings are designed to accommodate 70 residents with disabilities, 120 care home residents, and a possible future extension of 18 service apartments. The buildings and infrastructure are always adapted to the respective occupants and their specific needs.
