We won the new Liege Exhibition Halls with Francisco Mangado
In association with the Spanish office of Francisco Mangado, archipelago has won the first prize in the international competition for the construction of the new Exhibition Halls in Liege.
“A fairground like this, together with the character of public endowment, has an institutional dimension, turning it into a magnificent opportunity to transform the immediate urban environment as well as to improve the city as an architectonic reference.
According to the architects, “we are not facing the construction of a simple building anymore, but rather one of those opportunities that, every so often, the city and its inhabitants tackle, thus forging urban history.” The architects are not only projecting a building, they are configuring a part of the city, what some call urba-tecture.”
